Does runway orientation matter when attacking?

When attacking a runway, does orientation make any difference to chance to hit?
In Operation Black Buck, the British bombed the runway from an angle, to maximise chances of a hit. Would you have to do this in CMANO?

Yes, with the stick-bombing modelling (for unguided weapons) and when using a weapon like JP233 it matters a great deal.

When using individually-aimed smart weapons like LGBs it's not very important.

So, how can you see the orientation of a runway? I only see a single square identified as 10.000 feet runway....

Select the target runway and check the Course in the Unit Information. Some scenario designers name runways according to their orientation (example Runway 06-24 or the like) but this convention is nowhere near universal and the renamed runway will not necessarly be available to the Player when selected. Checking the Course works provided the runway is spotted, either through Auto-Detect ON or spotted in the course of running the scenario.
