inconsistent manual and reality

Post by Freetalk7 »

A few issues. Though just started playing, so maybe I am missing something?

1. page 16 3.5.3. Right hand buttons. There is no info button at all.

2. page 28 4.1.6 Launching air attack. Where it says click on the Modlin unit and it will show values for Morale readiness and entrenchment. The Info panel does NOT show these values.

3. page 28 4.1.7. Bombing Modlin Army. Manual says the numbers 1:0 will appear over this unit. Does not happen. Can only get ? ?

Thank you.

2 and 3 might be due to not being in range enough yet, or some other mechanic. You get ? ? sometimes.
I'm not 100% sure what actually triggers the ? ? to be updated.

1. It has been mentioned elsewhere.

2. I am not sure, but maybe the Tutorial is designed for Fog of War = OFF. If you have Fog of War = ON, you may not see these as they are presented in the Manual.

Hi MAVB,

I believe Steve is correct and you simply need to turn off Fog of War to see the values as described in the Tutorial.

Hi

On 2. and 3., the Manual was written for Fog of War being on, and the example is referring to the Modlin Army that is deployed in its historic location on the border with East Prussia at Mlawa, rather than the fortress of Modlin.

It's shown in the picture at the bottom of page 28, where because a German unit starts the game adjacent to it, its condition can be seen.

I hope this helps.

Bill
