Unit Defensive Strength on Map

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Unit Defensive Strength on Map

Post by tacfire »

I think the user interface could use a little improvement:

In particular we need a way to view units' defensive strength value on the on the map counters.
Its too much of a pain to click all the time to see this basic info.

I personally would prefer to see both attack and defensive strength on the unit map counters at the same time.
But if that is not possible, then at least a way to toggle the values would be an improvement.

Use the z hotkey to toggle between different display modes (one of which shows # = # where the first # is the attack CV and the second is the defense CV).
All understanding comes after the fact.
