Boxed version question

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Boxed version question

Post by kowloon »

Quick question for anyone in the know: If I opt for a boxed version of Op. Torch do I get the same manual as the boxed version of WitW or is there a difference between the two?

As Torch is an expansion the boxed version doesn't come with a manual, or at least mine didn't. I assume this is because it can only be played if you already own the master WITW game anyway.

There is the option to upgrade the original to "Boxed Version" if you want a printed manual.

The boxed version of the main WitW game comes with the 300 page WitW game manual. Operation Torch has it's own 100 page pdf file manual, with scenario and historical notes, but it sounds like this is not printed in the boxed version of Torch.
