My Best Wishes to the whole TOTH's community. Happy New Year to You all!
Especially Peter, Paullus, Rico21 (alias the Godfather) and many other mates who are giving us a lot of fun and challenge with that incredible rich stuff they're giving to a magnificent game.
I'm also proud of being "old-timer-1916" ranked in TOTH's Organization (Thank U Rico!)

Picture: "Casa Come Me" (1937-1939), Curzio Malaparte's former estate.

From his real name Curt Erich Suckert (1898-1957), he was an Italian (Tuscan born) WWI veteran, then journalist, writer, columnist, war correspondent & even an Italian Liaison Officer for the Allied High Command in Italy (1943-1946). His political views - from fascism during the early 1920' up to the 1950's left wing - were "rather contrasting" with his own individualism and constant spirit of independence and provocation.
Primary works: Viva Caporetto! (1921); Technique du Coup d`Etat (1931); KAPUTT (1944); LA PELLE (1949), adapted for screen by Liliana Cavani (The Skin, 1981); Maledetti Toscani (1956).

Estate located on Punta del Massullo, Capri Island. Only accessible by stairs (no road) both by land and sea: 99 steps from a risky private wharf. Surely a quiet, albeit quite megalomaniac, place to rest! Perhaps a nice one for highly deserving programmers or exhausted wargame players! In the background: the Gulf of Salerno. Behind the left promontory : the Gulf of Naples.

Not far away from Casa Malaparte is a panoramic narrow road driving along the island's southern coast that leads to a renowned Villa-Hotel***. Both are called... Krupp. The German gunsmith Alfred Krupp was in love with Capri where he's still respected as a local benefactor. Last but not least: "Via Krupp" ends near "Giardini di Augusto" (the Roman Emperor's Garden) where today stands a memorial dedicated to... Lenin!
In French: "La réalité dépasse toujours la fiction !"
