Question - Air Factories as airbases

Same as before, I have not played in a long time. I am pretty sure factories did not exist when I played this long ago. With that said:

Airbase. I think they can hold an unlimited amount, but they get penalized after 100 stack? Or some number.

Here is my question. I read that Aircraft factory can base planes. If this is correct, wouldn’t you build only aircraft factories to base planes instead of airbases? That way you have the best of both worlds?

Air factories cost more raw and PPs. Don't remember if they also cost more supplies...

I also believe their basing limit is smaller than airbases. Just checked an old non-modded game and airbases have twice the stack limit and cost only 5 PP vs 80 for an aircraft factory.

Yes check in the editor airbases for random games have a lower limit.

Also one would not want their production factories nearer the Front lines then needed to be.

Ah ha! Airbase has 100 stack. Air Factory has 50. Thanks!
