Difference between Land/Sea Cap and Land/Sea Carry

Difference between Land/Sea Cap and Land/Sea Carry

Hi,looking at units stats. For Truck and Cargoship there seems to be a factor or 50 applied to Carry Stats to calculate Cap stats.

What is the difference between Carry and Cap? I am very sure it is related to Supply, but if someone could clarify, that would be great.

PS - wow, not sure why I stopped playing this 10 years ago (however long ago it was), this game is really awesome. And with YouTube now in existence, it really helps to understand this complex and awesome game.
