Installation - 12 hours+ and still loading?

This first install has been running for 12+ hours and is ongoing? Is this normal (I am running Win10).

HI, No as you probably expect it should be a lot less. I installed the game recently and also use Win 10 and it was quite quick

Two possibilities come to mind, is it possible you have a virus scanner software which is blocking the install, or is there a pop up window which requires your response and has got 'lost' behind another window?

I made the installation file and the Matrix Game folder 'exceptions' regarding Windows Defender and ran the file as Administrator.

As an aside, as you are a Win10 user, how does the game perform and run?

Have cancelled current install, renamed the previous folder and have started install again.......

game installs on a modern pc in less than 5 mins with updates already downloaded, longer if you need to download updates as well, and that also depends on hardware, on a HDD it maybe longer than on a SDD, and on older hardware longer still

Try installing With Windows running in safe mode:

1. Reboot Windows in safe mode
2. Install game
3. Reboot Windows

Thanks VP safe mode allowed the install, but:

Trying to play, the mouse has a time lag before appearing on the windowed 'window' plus
Trying to update, I get 'Unable to determine the installed version' and 'Could not get specified value's data'.

If I try to play on the current version I get 'Level not found - abort, retry, ignore'. If I ignore I jest get a series of similar messages.

It sounds like if some 3rd party program is interfering, initially with the installation of the game, and now when playing.

You can update the game manually, but I doubt that this will fix your issue.
Please download the update file installer from the link below:

Once you have downloaded the file please unzip it. Run the extracted file to update the game.

Downloaded v101, tried to apply but message came back that SoW was not installed. Strangely S0W was on the systems App. list. I uninstalled via the Matrix utility.

Reinstalled SoW as Admin. Worked. Tried to apply v101 but message was that I had a higher version already installed. Have tried the game (menu items etc.) and seems to be ok.

T'was a close run thing.
