Not happy about postage costs for this game

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Not happy about postage costs for this game

Post by Zenith »

I don't usually post about this kind of stuff but I just had to voice my displeasure.

Just ordered the boxed version for an extra £12 or so and was shocked to find that the cost of postage to send this game to me was going to be an extra £30.

So to recap if you want the hardback manual in the UK you have to fork out an extra £42... ridiculous. When I purchased WitW with the hardback manual the postage costs were nowhere near as expensive.

Needless to say it will be the digital version for me.

I feel your pain...

When DC:B was first sold, a year ago, the costs were much lower and I bought the physical manual, and it is gorgeous...
But now apparently Matrix has no European warehouse and the shipping costs to Europe are absurd [:@]

This year I bought SC3: War in Europe and also passed the physical manual because the shipping cost alone exceeded 35 Euros...[:-]

The pdf manual of DC:B is superb too, of course, and I usually read it on my iPad.

(PS: Check the manual errata, you can find it here (http://www.vrdesigns.net/?page_id=1191). Minor stuff for the most part.)

Don't let this frustration ruin the game, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Best wishes,

Zenith postage for anything from the US to UK is extortionate..so not just this game.

I don't buy boxed versions anymore. With books, I like the hard copy but have learned to use the pdf manual or ask questions on the forums for games. Plus, YouTube videos help. I have the wite manual and never even bothered to look at it
