Exit off map

I just finished playing a game where I had to exit off the map. I got most of my units to the marked exit hexes, however at the end of the game I never got credit for any of those units. During the Game I tried to move off the exit hexes off board during both the movement phase and the advance phase. How do I get credit for the units?

It's been a while since I played a scenario where you have to exit units but I kinda remember selecting something like Remove Unit on the right side panel.

Yes, when in the exit hex you need to select the "Exit Units" button that turns up in the panel to the right when you are in the Exit Hex. This can only be done during the Movement Segment.
