I would send the file, but it has repeatedly failed to post.

In Scenario 16 I have a B-26 of 19th BS on IJN Junyo!!!

She is in port at Shortland.

That does not seem right!

Hi, please zip the save game file up before you try to upload it.

Do you have the latest patch installed? Are you playing a scenario that was started under a previuos or earlier patch? These can stuff up the data base from a saved scenario as there have been database changes made in some of the patches.

I am playing scenario 16 on a long term basis - this game takes a while - and of course there are some changes (patches) since we began. We are using the latest patches, 2.2, and we probably began this game at 2.0, otherwise whatever was before that (1.6???). We were advised that it was a good idea to do the patches and that they would upgrade existing games. Is it not so? And why cannot I post the file???

You can only post these kinds of file extentions: gif jpg png txt zip bmp jpeg doc pdf. It says so right next to the button you use to attach the file.

The thing that may help you more than anything else is that the new patches do not "fix" games that are already underway. Anomalies like this occur frequently in games that were started in previous versions and carry over after later patches have been installed.

I hated losing games (especially PBEM campaigns) because of this, but, hey - c'est la vie.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

it refuses to post

it acts like it uploads, and even completes - then I get a blank screen that normally clears to "your post has been accepted" but it never clears at all

attempting to upload to developers address

I've had that happen to me before elcid. It might be that the file that you're trying to attach is too large (I think the max size is around 500k). Altho the saved games should only be about 300k, you might try zipping it, and THEN trying to attach it.

(* nevermind, I didn't see your subject, I never read those *)

If that doesn't work, you should be able to simply email to the file (actually, in the past "Kidd" who is a beta-tester, has taken a few files to test with before punting it to the devs).

It can also be a problem with your internet connection. We wittnesed that this happens quite often when you encounter a "package loss" during routing from your PC to the Matrix Server. We can´t do anything about this.

Another possibility is that the file is too large or the extension is not accepted by the script.

If you encounter continous problems please just email the zipped save game to rossm@matrixgames.com, with a in depth description of the error, preferable a dxdiag.txt (Direct X Dialog export file) file and what version of the game you are using ann on what veriosn of the game you started the scenario.
