Interceptions

Post by warnevada »

Not certain how interceptions work. We had a single fighter unit make six interceptions at a range of three or four hexes. This seems excessive for a single unit.

Interceptions work like this:

If an enemy aircraft makes an airstrike (including recon) the interceptor will try and intercept it. There is a rulevar which can be used to make the chance lower than 100%, but otherwise it is 100%. The interceptor will keep intercepting until it runs out of fuel (if fuel has been enabled and it costs something to defend) or its readiness falls below the limit that the player has set.

Thus an interceptor might intercept each and every airstrike you make.
