CW MAR ARM DIV not allowed to invade...

We're using Option 26 and the CW took a supercombined in clear weather. The TRS was in the 3 box but the MAR ARM DIV was not allowed to invade (not selectable). All other units invaded as expected. Is this a known issue? Thanks, Pete

You mentioned Option 26, but did you know that only MAR and INF divisions can invade from a TRS. Otherwise you need an AMPH. I don't think ARM divisions can invade at all.

You mentioned Option 26, but did you know that only MAR and INF divisions can invade from a TRS. Otherwise you need an AMPH. I don't think ARM divisions can invade at all.

The MAR ARM XXs certainly can invade, whether playing with option 26 or not. That is the whole point of the units. I have done so in the past. See 22.4.1.

I had to look it up to be 100% sure but:

If you are playing with the amphibious option, you can’t transport HQ-A, ARM, MECH, aircraft, or artillery units on AMPHs.

ARM cannot travel (or, thus, invade) in (from) an AMPH.

MAR and divisions can still invade from TRS units (or SCS if using option 25 ~ see 11.4.5) but other land units can only invade from AMPHs.

There could have been some questions on whether ARM MAR count as MAR, but since ALL DIVISIONS can invade from a TRS, the ARM MAR can invade because they are one division.

It's different if you meant debarking in friendly land (I think your mistake comes from here) in this case if you are using Option 26 you can only debark in coastal hexes INF Divisions (obviously not an ARM DIV) or Marines. IMO even in this case, they could because although they are not an INF class Div, they are no doubt MAR, but that could be arguable:

You can no longer debark a land unit from a TRS at sea into a friendly coastal hex (see 11.13) unless the hex is a port or contains an HQ (a face-up HQ can always debark). MAR units, infantry class divisions and units debarking from AMPHs, are not subject to this restriction.

This is also clarified in the FAQ;

22.4.1: Although they are ARM units, the
Commonwealth 79th and US Mar ARM divisions can
also invade from a TRS (even if playing option 26).
11.14: The Commonwealth 79th and US Mar ARM
divisions (see 22.4.1) can also invade from a TRS.
