We have had installed a completely new com system a couple of months ago, which has upload and download privileges, no need to sign into several sites, and is better than SLACK because you can talk peer to peer live to any member of TGHQ and it doesn't cost much to do sofrom an admin point of view.
Its a very demanding work running a site like this, and I dont do it just to find a game for myself, there are easier ways of doing this.
Playing wargames online shouldn't be about just beating your opponent and getting a trophy for it, if that is your soul goal then you are going to come out short.
Games, using the best intercommunication tools is important between people is critical as possibly some people have found out, to their surprise, especially in some games of multiplayer ATG. Like GD1938 and Napoleonic Mods.
Joomla Chat Social with group peer to peer video chat installed here, Real-time Strategy Games can be played without going to yet another com. system.
Ive enlisted a new admin team who are genuinely helping me out, without out any hidden agendas.
Little real help has ever been given, and I don't mean just running games here at TGHQ I mean real admin help...

A new culture has begun here at TGHQ one of which employs open and friendly communications, in a live peer to peer com system, by use of live video, and also provides a method of file download. As and original player of this once old board game was the fact that you could talk face to face with your opponent to sort out strategy and tactics and brochure diplomatic deals, since the internet that has been reduce more and more so. Well Im brining it back. I know a lot of gamers in the past have expressed disappointment with the internet method of play, where it has been used in a negative way. Just look at Facebook bullying etc to give you an example.

We have a trial game underway please use the above link, in the previous post to sign up.
We have a webinar every week to talk everyone through the peer to peer video conferencing, if you need it, and for any other reasons to talk to admin.

Thanks for reading

A new culture has begun here at TGHQ ....

I know there are at least 3-4 pbem games ongoing, including one I am in. Game turn exchanges are progressing smoothly but just slowly to get through 7 players X multiple phases. But it’s working well.

I’ve done a lot with the past two official updates to fix issues and improve pbem messages. I am open to any feedback regarding the user manual instructions for setting up and running pbem games, with an eye on clarifying things so newbies can enjoy participating in pbem games or starting their own games.

Looking ahead, I am not considering any NetPlay implementation. Marshall can look at that someday. I do plan to continue to make some AI improvements, with a focus on improved allied operations between AI-human and AI-AI players. If we can get the AI to perform better, then small group pbem games with fewer players plus AI players could offer faster gameplay.

Again, any feedback regarding pbem or gameplay in the latest v1.22.02 update would be helpful for me going forward. I’d like to see the EIA community re-energized and playing again!!
