Unit graphics

Post by zasgard »

I'm unfamiliar with this series of games.

I thought I read somewhere that in TOAOW III the unit icons can be switched from the NATO looking symbols to actual 3d sprites...is this true? Will it be so for this game?

Also, is the main difference between this game and the Grisby series is they cover East and West while TOAOW covers it all?

Thank you

Good question. It was true with TOAW 3. Now, a lot of players including me were only playing in 2D.
I do not know if 3D counters will be maintained in TOAW 4. First screenshots do not show them.

But, I won't miss them. It is adding more stuff to do when creating new equipments.

TOAW IV retains the 3D modes that TOAW III had.

TOAW is a game system that runs scenarios. Scenario creation is via the built-in Scenario Editor. Scenarios are full wargames of their own right. You can run the huge suite of canned scenarios that come with the game (or can be found online) and you can build your own.
