Where are all the custom scenarios?

I find it amazing after six years how few custom WitE scenarios are available. And it's not because it's so difficult. I spent the first two months after release changing the "Road To" scenarios to meeting engagements. This was version 1.0, I knew nothing, and I still don't.

TOAW3 has well over 400 custom scenarios made from scratch, and that is much harder than just modifying an existing WitE scenario. Battlefront's CMx2 Normandy game alone has hundreds of user made scenarios. I see experts devoting months of their lives to finishing many PBEM campaign games but hardly anyone is motivated to mod.

I don't mean to sound accusatory, as the devs continue to make the game easier to mod and play. It is just a mystery why we don't see all kinds of stuff - even small/moderate battles.

But it does occur to me that HPS Panzer Campaigns series has relatively few custom scenarios as well. Could be the time it takes to play these monster games burns players out on modding. Fortunately, there has been much needed DLC, although some of those battles are biggies as well.

The solution of course is WitE 2 with a random scenario generator!!

nice idea and agree, would be great for more what if type battles, just can't see it happening, then again maybe wrong, i normally am[:D]
