How do you "board" a ship?

How do you "board" a ship?

A few of the scenarios I've been playing lately require you to "board"
an enemy ship....how do you do that?

This will differ by scenario, but usually the scripting will probably require you to have a vessel within a certain proximity of the target for a certain time, as there are no engine mechanisms for boarding actions.
