UPDATE4 - New feature - Colour Action Log Window

Post by Peter Fisla »

Hi All,

Just wanted to quickly share with you what other thing I'm currently working on. Again, based on the user feedback from the twich tv session back in February 25th, I'm implementing adding color to the Action Log Window. Both the Color Unit Panel and Color Action Log Window should help with usability of the game interface as well as make the user quickly review important action log messages.

Yes, that would help some. I find that the info flows quickly and anything that will help thing stand out is a good thing....GP

I think it's great to color code because my eyes aren't what they used to be. While we are discussing my eyesight, I would find it most helpful if only the hexes that are allowable for reinforcements are lit. The small numbers are difficult to make out depending on background. So, if the reinforcements for a turn can only be placed in #3 reinforcement hexes then only #3 reinforcement hexes are high lighted. Thanks.[8D]

Can we make that optional for the color blind players?

That's very cool to have more options. I'm partially color blind myself and I can't tell you how much that has affected my life. Thanks Peter.[:)]

Any chance the colour choice could be customizable? I'm more interested in some events than in others.

If I had the choice, I'd set up something like this:

Red - Eliminated units and destroyed SWs

Orange - Malfunctioned SWs

Yellow - Broken units

Green - Rallied units

Blue - Repaired SWs

White - Things like "failed to keep its ROF" and similar (for me) low-priority messages.
