Question on St Nazaire Raid

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Question on St Nazaire Raid

Post by bcg »

I have 2 questions on the St Nazaire raid.
1. If I sink the British destroyer Campbeltown, will this prevent a successful raid on the port?
2. If I do not upgrade the port, will this prevent a successful raid on St Nazaire?

I do not have your answer, but I found this to be interesting.

"The ship's bell of HMS Campbeltown was given to the town of Campbelltown, Pennsylvania" (just outside Hershey) "as a gesture of appreciation towards the United States for the Destroyers for Bases Agreement program. This ship's bell was later lent by the town to the current HMS Campbeltown, a Type 22 frigate, when she was commissioned in 1989, and was returned on 21 June 2011 after HMS Campbeltown was decommissioned."

This is about 3 miles from my house at the Campbelltown fire station and I drive by it often.

1. No
2. The manual says yes [assuming by 'upgrade' you mean answering Yes to DE 605, page 189].
