My Custom Physical CMANO manual

Post by HalfLifeExpert »

Some of you may know that a while ago I made a custom physical manual for CMANO with a 3 ring binder.

Well, the original was almost at page capacity, so I bought a larger binder today and transferred it all to the new binder, and added a few things that previously had to be separate.

Here is a link to a view only folder on my Google drive with the 10 images, which I also posted on the Command Facebook Group.

That is definitely some nice work there. I really like how you built that manual and organized it.

I am pretty sure that is where the information came from. He took all the manuals, addendums, user-created docs, as well as WarfareSim articles and put it together.

Here is a zip I did that has the addendum, FAQ, and all the major update articles in one PDF. I also have separate zips for the Lua overview and the Lua references that were put together.

I have done some minimal formatting and cleaning up of pictures. The pictures are a little fuzzy.

I know its a burden for you, but you can get the pdf manual yourself.

Actually, All that is in the rings of the binder is made by WarfareSims. I don't have any Lua documentation in there because I am far from comfortable in tackling that.

Nice job making all the documentation more printer friendly. Your pdf has a lot more than my binder does.

I was planning on recreating my Manual Addendum pages in PDF or word format, but I see you already put in a lot of effort.

I don't have the Mega FAQ printed out, and I removed some of the parts of the manual addendum that are not really nessicary in a reference manual and are just notes on general improvements that are mostly passive, specifically things like this:
NEW IN v1.10 * Miscellaneous tweaks to reduce RAM usage, and significant performance improvements. NEW IN v1.11 * Massive improvements to simulation speed and RAM consumption. NEW IN v1.11 SR1 * Command can now load and run much larger scenarios (>10.000 active units) * If autosave fails while running a very large scenario (due to memory exhaustion), the player is notified by a balloon popup instead of crashing the game. * Recording tweak: Maintain God’s Eye enabled/disabled preference between frames during playback NEW IN v1.11 SR6 * Significant performance improvements on both sim-core and map engine. NEW IN v1.11 SR7 * More reliable shapefile loader for icepacks (should help with the rare OLEDB exception on startup). * Speed improvement for scenarios with lots of escort-tasked aircraft * Speed improvements on scenarios featuring zones * Significant speed improvement for scens with lots of deployed sonobuoys * Faster game startup due to revised method of checking DB files

What is nice about using a 3-ring binder is that when new stuff is added to the Manual Addendum on the Warfaresims page, it is easy to just add a few new pages to the right section that is clearly marked.

I don't know what's your problem, but I recommend you get professional help 'cause your behaviour is not normal. I hope that you can fix your burdens.[:)]

You're welcome.

My point is when a guy comes in showing something he's done, don't be a taker. Don't be the guy that a few posts in asks if he can have it too. See what I did? I actually went and built it myself. Between the time of his post and my post, I actually went out and built the PDF. Not that you care, because you got what you came here for. It took me 30 minutes to build something I want, the way I want it. I suspect no matter what got built and handed to you, you would want more, or in red, or in landscape, etc.

Maybe you don't like my style, I don't care. But I bet you downloaded the attachment.

I could be wrong, but thewood1 may just be a little irritated after a couple recent instances of trying to explain simple things to stubborn people on here.
