Rail Repair not working

Post by Bob12 »

I'm playing the Battleground Italy scenario as the Axis (server game). Italy surrendered about 4 turns ago and significant rail damage occurred in southern Italy the turn after the surrender happened. I have multiple construction/fortress construction battalions attached to OKW, Army Group C and 10th Army (HQ support is locked) which are all well within command range of the affected area, and though multiple turns have passed not a single unit has been dispatched to repair the rails (they will dispatch to repair ports but none are damaged at the moment so they are just sitting around).

I'm not sure what is causing this? any ideas/ways to fix?

1. The automatic dispatch of Rail Repair units was not working. It will be fixed in the next patch and is fixed in the new public beta.

2. Do your armies have actual Rail Regiments, or just normal engineers? Only special units can repair rail lines.

I just got the first turn completed under the .68 beta back from my opponent and still not a single construction unit has been sent to repair the rails . On the subject of question 2, the units are construction/labor battalions, which to my knowledge should be able to repair railways.
