Can't get unit info when assigned attack

After I assign a unit attack task, if I go back to it and right click on it I cannot get formation or unit info, only option to cancel attack. Is that how it should be?

I've been thinking about it and I think maybe you could cancel the attack for the unit you want the info about
and then get the info and after you get the info you could assign it to the attack again. Something like that.

The "U" key or "F" doesn't work while the unit is selected? Haven't tried it myself yet.
