Air Strike Boxes

Is there a way to turn off the airstrike boxes? I am tire of pressing the "continue" button in the box.

Best Regards

From the sound of it I take it you're playing the Germans in Overlord '44? Die you turn detailed combat reporting off?

Hello Oberst,

Olympic scenario. The US performs a lot of airstrikes (20 to 30 each turn). I have detailed combat reporting off.

Can't turn it off. Hit enter, enter, enter ... [>:]

Spacebar might also work, can't remember.

Yeah - When watching the first videos of TOAW4 I did notice the abundance of these battle reports, and it worried me a bit. Thankfully they can be closed by Enter/Esc so I just keep my hand over the Esc key during those phases [:D]

As war-gamers we want stats, reports, info, but I wish there was a way to just show the battle report at the end, or summarize at least the bombard missions in a separate report at the end of phase. Maybe that's the detailed battle reports setting, will check...

EDIT: Yeah, turning off detailed battle reports does the trick if you want to avoid all those reports. However, like I said, it would be good to have an option for bombard missions just be summarized, while you can watch land assaults.

This would be nice. I think most people would appreciate it. Turn it off or on while you are playing a scenario. I think we have been suffering in silence. [;)]

I also like the idea to make the Air Strike dialog optional.

Thinking about it, I also don't like very much always having to click OK OK OK OK separately through all briefing windows of all different sizes at the beginning of a turn -- Begin Turn and then Reinforcements and then Situation and then News. Not all of them appear all the time but it's OK OK OK OK. Personally I would prefer to get only one Begin Turn window with the three briefings in three tabs (Situation tab, Reinforcements tab, News tab) that I can view at my discretion, and click OK only once to begin.

In all seriousness, would this be possible?

Great idea, I'm all for this, would save a lot of clicking.

In my opinion, if you have a dialog with only one choice, like the start turn popup, it might just as well be removed, to save unnecessary interaction from the user. There's nothing there except the date, and that's already on the top right. Pretty much redundant.

If there is no start turn notice, then sometimes you will be sitting there waiting without realizing it is your turn.
