Why does it cost 11 mp to move into one hex?

Post by jjdenver »

Hi,

Pls see screenshot below from Directive 21 turn 1. I had an inf div take a town with a bridge. Bridge seemed to survive combat (doesn't show destroyed when I mouse over). I moved in 2 HQ units to act as traffic control. But when I try to move a pz div through the hext it costs 11 mp to enter the hex. Why? I don't see a BTS in the hex nor a broken bridge nor mud. How can I tell why the mp costs are what they are?

Thanks

Despite HQs (and do they have MPs?) I'd say over-stacked, traffic jam.

I think you maybe had a battle happen in that hex and now the BTS system
has labeled that hex as one that has a big timestamp even though the BTS
crossed swords aren't showing.

I did an "overrun" just moved into the hex and pushed back the defenders. But I didn't do an attack through right clicking on the hex. Does that create a BTS? Just moving in and pushing them back?

It's my understanding that it does.

Ok thanks. But why no BTS so we can see which hexes to avoid?

Thanks that works. Now I just need to figure out how to get broken rail hexes to show up. Anyone know how?

For that... well, my personal opinion, use one of the mods; IMHO they're shown much better in Telumar's mods (graphics) etc. Same goes for the destroyed bridges.

And if that doesn't work for you, try Silvanski's MOD:

You could activate the BTS swords on the map.
