East Front not advancing bug

Hello,

In playing Barb... South as the Russians, I run into a bug around the 550K mark in and around July -August 1942 when I decline a larger unit above corps that is an army. Has anyone ever completed Barb ... South? If so, what was the size of the unit? Also, has anyone completed Barb South at the army level? When I accepted a promotion once to army I found I had 5 plus brigades of over 160 battalioins which made the game hard to manage. So I am interested if anyone had completed the game with an army?
