creating formations

Post by bde4soldier223 »

if a company was 150 men, would you put enough squads to make up 150 men?
or do the other weapons with troops count towards the 150 men?

how do you n=know how much trucks you put in each unit size i.e. company/battalion/etc...?

thanks in advance.

Soldiers manning other weapons generally aren't included in the 'rifle strength' of a company.
A unit should contain as many trucks as needed to meet the expected movement rate. You may want to take into account attrition and battle casualties, therefore having a few more than needed.

Well Roberto... if you are interested, I could do a OOB, TO&E and formation creation Tutorial... incl. what tools I use, sources, and considerations about the allocation of transport et. as Steve already mentioned.

Righty, will think something up.

EDIT: And I did! I will call it Tutorial '42 - Editor, dedicated to Roberto (bde4soldier223)
I will create (I try!) some Italian units, starting with a simple 1942 TO&E Inf.Co. in Africa.
