PBEM game doesn’t go beyond password window

Playing a PBEM game of FitE2 as the Soviets. Attempted to start the Axis turn 2, but the game is not accepting my password. I click enter the first time and the game hangs still showing the password window. I click another two times and the game exits to the main menu. It is NOT a matter of forgetting the password, as my opponent and I ran a test on a new game of FitE2 and I still was not able to start his 2nd turn. He was able to start the files I sent though. Again, putting the correct password is not the problem. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks!
