Multiplayer - Not Working?

Ok - do I have to play through one campaign before I can play via the Multiplayer format?

When I go to the Multiplayer I saw one battle available but I was not able to post a challenge. None of the buttons on the top of the screen seemed to work.

Type in a name for your game; ( no spaces ) then hit the Historical or Skirmish Button.

I have the opposite problem: I saw a challenge [111] and wanted to check out its details, but the game stated that I had accepted the challenge as soon as I clicked on it. I then hit the x on the challenge to resign, but now the challenge isn't going back, nor can I play it. [&o]

My sincere apologies to the challenger. [:(]
