Is there a way to use the Japanese names for aircraft?

I'm not that familiar with allied reporting names, is there a way to list the aircraft as names like Touryu, Saiun, and Tenzan?

Aircraft are a "device" and thus are listed in the Scenario Database. You can change the names by opening the scenario number in the Editor, go to the devices tab and change the aircraft names (it does not affect their performance stats if that is all you change) and save the scenario as a different unique number (above 25, those first 25 slots are reserved for official scenarios and you cannot save to them.).
Note that these changes must be made before the scenario is chosen and a game started.

Hmm, seems like a bit of work, good thing I only need to do this for the Japanese. Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out!

First off welcome to the game and welcome to the Forum. Are you talking about Squadron names? If so all you need to do is go to the editor and open your scenario , under the air groups tab, find the group that you want to change the name of and change the name. Aircraft types are made up of a bitmap image and devices. Then groups are made up of the individual aircraft types. It's a lot simpler than it sounds. I hope this helps....GP
