Saving PBEM game

Post by mroyer »

Is there any way to save a PBEM game locally? The save button appears to save it to the server. I'd like to be able to save the game at selected points as it progresses to have an archive of it to look at sometime in the future.

(I'm guessing the answer is no because that could cause a potential fog-of-war 'security' leak allowing one player might be able to see the other's positions.)

I'm afraid not, as they are stored to the PBEM server.

In that vein, it would be great to be able to convert a completed/resigned PBEM game to a local one. I've found that Axis players are prone to resigning once the tide turns, which kind of sucks for the Allied player, as that's when the real fun begins. It would be nice to be able to complete the game against the AI (or at least a few more turns) after an opponent resigns.

I know you guys have way bigger fish to fry, just thinking out loud.
