Barbarosa 41 GP-Axis, me-Soviets no mods

Post by larryfulkerson »

General Patton and I started a game of Barbarosa '41 and Brian is the Axis and I'm
the Soviets and Brian is mopping the floor with me. He's already up to Pskov and
I haven't deployed very many defenders down there. And there's not much between
him and Leningrad right now. The way to Moscow is not quite wide open...I DO have
some roadblocks in place and there's some reinforcements coming soon and that'll
help out. Down south Soviet defense was an afterthought. Brian is making a lot of
progress in the south. He's already across the first river out of Bessarabia and
is pushing me to the east up against another river. I've already fortified the river
crossings. I'm playing for time over all the front. The reinforcements must have
some time to rest before I throw them back into combat. I think maybe the front lines
will stabilize more or less around T10 or so.

Does the CIA still do wet work, from time to time, depending on the National Security threat say......?

Here's the situation around Pskov right now. Brian is probably going to try to outflank me and if he does my boys will
have to displace because there's nobody available nearby right now.

Here's what's going on around Smolensk right now. My front line is slowly crumbling but
it's buyins some time for the reinforcements to gather at Moscow.

Brian and I are playing the unmodded version of B41 and Brian has noticed the severe
lack of supply on the front lines and says it's unworkable. So we're going to restart
using the B41_lgf_5.5.sce modded scenario. This is the one in which I have given all
the Axis engineering units some RR engineers so they can repair the rails. That ought
to help out with the supply problem. So stay tuned for the new AAR.
