Can someone please detail what the differences are for the 41- 45 campaigns:

bitter end

alt vc260

and sudden death?

Bitter end doesn't end early, and uses the same method of scoring as a scenario, where control of certain city for a certain amount of time + losses is the victory track.

Sudden death and alt VC260 both end if the Germans get 260 VP or the Soviets capture Berlin, but it can also end in April of each year if either side is doing well enough:

April 1942
German Victory if victory points are >=242
Soviet Victory if victory points are <=191
April 1943
German Victory if victory points are >=255
Soviet Victory if victory points are <=188
April 1944
German Victory if victory points are >=210
Soviet Victory if victory points are <=150
