So how did Hogan's Heroes play in Germany? Were the Germans offended, or amused?

Well, believe it or not most of my male in-laws of that generation were Wehrmacht and most of them loved it. My wife tells me back in the day my father-in-law wouldn't miss an episode.... and pops was in Russia for three years. Go figure. Who says Germans have no sense of humor.

In fact, the dubbed version(s) of Hogans Heroes and M*A*S*H are better/funnier in my opinion; which is unusual, but they've done a good job.

Besides, I used Wilhelm Klink as my nick, because he's a likeable character ;)

Well in my best General Burkhalter voice let me say "Klink! Berlin feels you've done some amazing work here"

Very nice looking and original mod.

Wasn't aware it is a mod; you meant the counters or the 'night' effect? I decided to let my rookies (They're quality C legionnaires...) ride on lorries, supported by some more seasoned colonial reece troops. I'll try my best to post the slides over the weekend... there's just so much to put into them...

No, no.... I referred to the addition of the image of the Colonel himself, just a bad choice of words on my part. [;)]

Oh, that one! *grin* I use PhotoScape; so easy to handle and perfect for AARs/Tutorial slides (I think).

The plan is more or less simple. We reece Oued Fodda for potential 'irregulars'. If some are present, we'll use the
reece patrols, the M8 Plt and PdR, to keep them busy, while the rest of the unit heads south. We got 3 night turns,
so we should use them for our advantage not to be spotted.

Again, nothing really happened. Time to explain some of the interface and in particular the values at the 2D counters.
