Here are my thoughts on the Soviets:

At 11,780 victory points, I think that I will be facing 2 Regiments – maybe a TR and a MRR.

Intel has already identified Soviet elements in the South East corner of the AO.

The picture below shows the approaches that I expect the Soviets may take...

I have not finished it yet. I received a different game (The Operational Art of War IV) and started playing it. I may get back to this...

Glad you enjoyed the AAR.

I enjoy all your AARs, they are one of the (many) factors that made up my decision to get the game. You explain everything clearly, lots of maps, and your military experience gives weight to all your words.

Given that i usually play WP, though, i'd like if you played more scenarios from their side so i can steal some of your tactics.[:D]

Anyway, I'm trying some scenario myself from the Soviet side and i'll upload some AAR on my own.

Thanks for the kinds words. I find that taking the time to do the AARs helps me with my game play.

I was planning on trying the Soviet rush scenario as the Soviets - but they do not have that option. Playing as the Soviets would be a very difficult challenge - the extra long command cycles would be frustrating at times.

I will look at a couple of other options as the Soviet...

All the best and I look forward to seeing your AARs.

Mike
