Mod Air Units help?

Post by tom730_slith »

I seem to remember reading someone here was able to Mod existing (but obsolete) Air units into late war Air units available in the board game version. Is my memory faulty? Does someone here have the ability to transform old units that are of little or no use to later models - or even units that never made it off the drawing board but "could have!"
When a game of MWIF goes past 1945 I'd love to be able to have the Germans build some of those awesome designs that they never completed, and have the U.S. be able to build models that could contest them for control of the skies!

So if anyone out there remembers who it was that was doing this, please let me know! If I'm hallucinating, please let me know that as well - I am experiencing some "chemo brain" thanks to my cancer treatments, so I could be totally off!
If I can get hold of the person with the skill I'd be glad to pay for the modded files. Love the game, play a lot, and this would make long games even MORE fun!

You have probably already looked, but wandering around in:

tt.asp?forumid=1321&tmode=1&smode=1&p=1

is where to look. What is a little less known is you can change the little "Display topics from last" menu from "365 Days" to "All Topics", and that can help you find the stuff older than one year.

Also, the Collector's Edition of the game due to arrive in about 2 weeks as I type, will include plenty of 1945+ aircraft models right on the Planes in Flames Counter sheets, not just in America/Patton in Flames. You can look at the new Russia & Germany PiF counter-sheet right now on the ADG website in the "downloads" section, the link that says "Drang Nach Osten", only a few samples sheets are posted.

sometime later this year a "companion CD" is supposed to be released for sale which will include all the graphics I believe. I never did pick up the first version of that, maybe the only WiF product I do not own. But I am looking forward to the new one.

hang in there with the Chemo. if you would like to add some Chaga Tea to your recovery options, I would be glad to send you some Chaga. The Russians put it in their pharmacopeia for Cancer treatment back in the 1950s.
