Vichy and Allied unit

I had an errand UK garrison unit in Syria, which disappeared when Vichy was formed. I thought it would be pushed to the nearest UK land. Is this WAD?

I believe so, from memory if there is a continuous connection to a friendly UK territory then I think it moves there, if not and it is more or less trapped then it essentially surrenders at that location.

What's a continuous connection? Bordering UK territory? It that case it should have been pushed to transjordan, no?

Just looked at the code and there are 12 different cases that need to be handled, depending on if the territory is transferred to a Friendly or non Belligerent that is fully mobilized, all the way to a transfer that is non Friendly and non mobilized... but either way the unit should have been sent home back to the UK in your example. I would take a look back at the UK and see if it ended up there as expected.
