What we have here is, failure to communicate

Post by geofflambert »

Steve, I keep trying to send you the turn but keep getting an error like this. I don't know if it's AOL or my service provider. I will never give up.

I don't know who your provider is. I'm Spectrum and have no problems. I haven't used AOL since dial up. And then not for very long.

My service provider is also Spectrum and it's slow as snot right now. Wish I could post the turn on the forum somehow.

I'm going to bed. If I wake up in the night I'll try once more to send the turn.

So I dod wake up in the night and tried again. No go. Our moderator offered to try so I emailed it to him without apparent difficulty. Then I emailed Steve again, sans file, advising him I sent it to Bill. That went through no problem. So I sent him another one and got this

That seemed to go fine when I clicked "ok". Something between my AOL and his Yahoo, I guess???

Looks like one or two of the attempts to Steve did go through even though I got an error.

I got the turn, I am not the moderator, that is Bill Olsen. I would suggest that Geof gets a gmail account and tries that instead of the aol account.
It only takes a minute or so to set up a gmail account and it will eliminate that AOL thing.

We're about 40 minutes from each other but have never met. Maybe we could get a homing pigeon?

I set up a gmail account but Google chrome won't let me sign into it because I'm some impostor with an AOL account. So I went in with Internet Explorer and that worked. I don't want Google messing around with or hijacking my AOL account.
