Shifting the map

Post by mroyer »

I can't seem to get the idea of shifting the map. I'd be grateful if someone could explain these controls to me.
For example, I want to shift my entire map south along the y-axis by 8 hexes.
Thanks for any help,
-Mark R.

And, yes [:)], that is China, circa 1937.

Nice looking map of China! [:)]

I would experiment with a test campaign, do not use a live campaign.

Play with the controls in the Vertical Shift (y axis) setting, it will crosshatch the area that will disappear when you've selected some coordinates, and you can then see how to use it in the live campaign.

I'd actually recommend making a backup of the live campaign before implementing the change for real, because any changes using this cannot be undone.

Okay, I finally braved up today, figured this out and gave it a go. It worked perfectly.
Thanks again Bill.
