Strategic Bombing

Post by BK6583 »

Playing the Allies in the D-Day campaign. Haven't really gotten into the strategic bombing part of this game until now. I have bombers and recon aircraft at Vast, Termoli, and Lasina. Best as I can tell by the range circles they're in range of Ploesti. Yet when I try to intitiate an AD to recon and bomb Ploesti, I immediately get a blinking capability light which mean a no go. Yet when I select 'auto', I have recon and bombers aircraft available (in white). What am I missing?

What is the loadout for the recon? You need F-9's or F-5's with 300 gallon tanks to reach Ploesti. For the F-9's set altitude to 35K feet, as they only have high altitude cameras. For the F-5's, use medium altitude cameras and set altitude to 24K feet.
