New WIn 10 Pc and Editor?

my issue s that since purchasing of the new PC with win 10 and WITPAE installed there, Editor does not work.....

are the to facts related?

Any suggestion?

Check your using the correct editor. E.g. 64bit

P/s/: I think I'm close to the explanation.

If clicking on the "Editor" line and link in the WITPAE opener-launcher, Editor does not open up well for some reason, but if clicking on the Editor's icona from program lists, it opened and is working well.

Open the game folder. Go down the listing of folders to Scen folder. Click on the Scen folder and go to the AE Editor64. when you have the editor open go to file and click on open scenario and pick a scenario from the list. If you pick any of the first 14 scenarios, save it to a slot above 025 before you do anything to it....GP

You are not allowed to save scenarios once edited where the new save game has a number under 26. so there is not much chance of overwriting nr 1-14.
