Basic: I can't fire a second torpedo.

Post by c3k »

Folks,

I'm a newb. Great game, etc. ;)

Playing apache85's submarine tutorials, 1.2, has me driving the SSN711 San Francisco. I've fired (manually) one torpedo at the enemy frigate.

I want to fire a SECOND torpedo. Manually. A few seconds later. The Shift-F1 targeting window shows 3x torpedoes green. I allocated one of them against the enemy. I pressed "allocate". Usually, I'd hear the "whoosh" as the torpedo launches. Instead, it sits there, "allocated".

How do I fire the second torpedo? (I'm assuming I've muffed up some sort of ROE or WRA. I've looked the lists up and down. I don't see it. I was able to launch the FIRST one...)

Savegame attached.

Thanks.

That's what I see, and the only thing I've done is un-allocate your torpedo to make sure it won't suddenly turn green again.

So seems like your UI didn't update or something, as it's under OODA limitation after the first torpedo.

Thanks for taking a look. I've loaded and re-loaded that save several times. I simply cannot get another torpedo in the water.

I'd like to detonate the first torpedo short of the target...or guide it to a miss. Can that be done?

That would leave me a target to prosecute at my leisure with a second torpedo.
