Allied OOB

Post by leethompson »

Could anyone please advise where I could find the Allied OOB.
I have looked/searched in this forum, the manual, the old game forum, even looked in the games files but cannot find it.
Would anyone happen to know or even send me it please.

Get tracker and look at a saved game. All the OOB you need is in there.

You don't need Tracker. All the information is provided ingame.

1. Hit shortcut key "G". It lists all LCUs currently on map (units on ships are excluded).

2. Hit shortcut key "A". It lists all air units currently on map (units on ships are excluded).

3. Hit shortcut key "S". It lists all ships currently on map.

4. Hit shortcut key "N". It lists all air units currently on ships.

5. Hit shortcut key "I". Separate buttons display future arriving LCUs, air units and ships. Other buttons display scheduled withdrawal dates ofr LCUs, air units and ships.

All the displayed lists have several filters to limit and sort order of what is displayed.

Further to Alfred's post, sort LCUs by HQ to find out how they are organized. You will find it is a dog's breakfast of scattered units and fragments at game start. Organizing it is part of your job. You get to decide how best to organize them to suit your plans.

The fly in the ointment is that it costs scarce Political Points to change LCUs between HQs and sub-HQs. That is so that you are not omnipotent. You cannot do everything as fast as you would like or exactly as you would like - just like real life!

You can get help on the forum by posting more specific questions and, if needed, screenshots of the situation.

The OP appears to be asking for a complete OOB, in all eras and on all days. of the Allied forces. The game interface can't provide that. Tracker can, after a fashion. I don't know what the OP wants such a thing for and I won't speculate, but it's not easily available as a single, unencrypted file from the install. It might be possible to export Tracker into Excel using those tools, but I don't know if anyone has ever done it for the complete 3-D OOB of all force types.

I agree with what the Moose said. I export tracker data into excel to leverage the tools in excel to make more sense of the data provided.
