I've Been Away...

Post by wdolson »

I had a health problem crop up last fall and only in the last month have I managed to get back to some semblance of normal. I fell way behind on the forum, but just managed to get caught up. I scanned every thread, but I may have missed something. If there were any problems I missed, let me know and I'll look at it.

there is a technical term for those who confuse the opinions of an author's characters for the opinions of the author.
the term is IDIOT.

I'm not dying or anything close, but my sleep was badly disrupted for a few months. Trying to keep the day job going has taken most of my energy.

That's more conforting. Don't like so much when people here get badly ill or sick or disappear.

BTW your inactivity was noted - but not thought as illness caused.

Good to know there is at least one sane person at the helm!
I don't recall any great problems as forumites tend to poke each other in the ribs when they get too far from decorum and the posts are modified or deleted voluntarily.

Bill, I'm glad you're back! Your absence was noted, as adar mentioned. I hope "what ailed you" is behind you and that you're resting easy again.

With respect to your comment about "missing anything," I think the community would agree that you need to take some action with respect to Chickenboy. He's not aging gracefully, it seems. He looks at himself in the mirror, sees himself going to seed, and takes it out on anybody and everybody that happens to have good genes, remaining lithe and supple decades past the age where Chickenboy gave up. He's morose about it.

Glad you're back and well. Stay that way, please. Yes, your absence was noted. No, I don't think we had any serious problems.

Bill-I guess I'm a bit surprised. Warspite1 had us believing that he was the new moderator here. Well, technically, he asked we refer to him as "Lord Moderator Warspite", but it was the same basic premise. Was this incorrect? [&:]
