[RESOLVED] Windows 10 Not Starting

Hi team, any ideas here?

Having some real issues getting DW:U runnning on Windows 10 Pro 10.0.16299 Build 16299

What I have done:
in control pannel, legacy components I've turned Direct Play on.
re-installed all the elements from \Distant Worlds Universe\_CommonRedist
ran it in XP, Windows 7 & Windows 8 Compatabilty modes
ran above modes as admin
even changed the startup.ini to playmovie 0 even though it dose not get to the movie loading

try some of my compatibility tips, works with almost every game to make the more backwards compatibility, well add's back in the bits they didn't add by default anyway, good luck

I've gone though you're post and was already doing a few of them but also made recommended changes.

-Confirmed I had mentioned components installed

-Running the exe directly and in admin mode

-Turned on direct play via programs

Is anyone able to interperate the above crashdump?

Guys I resolved this.

I needed to install Windows Media Player & Internet Explorer 11.

Thanks for help Zakblood, your ideas put me on the path.
