Banzai This! John III (J) vs. Anachro (A)

Post by Canoerebel »

Since John III is too busy to start another AAR, it seems, I've volunteered to fill in for him. He doesn't know this, but I am sure he will approve.

I have played John III so many times that I am capable of parroting his every post.

If John bothers to check in and doesn't approve, I'll halt. Then you gents can disregard this thread.

Until then, enjoy.

Patrols spotted CVL Hermes at Ceylon. This may present an opportunity. KB Division 5 is only 419 hexes to the east. If I sprint, I can make it in 27 turns, stopping to refuel every six hexes. Should I do it? What do you say?

I worked 27 hours today. I'm tired. I accidentally ran the turn backwards.

The cold waters of the North Pacific glowed under a rising sun. Carrier Division 3 turned into the wind and launched 215 Netties. Twenty-four hexes to the east Admiral Gumdrop stood all his fighters stood down, forgetting that this was John's newest mod, My Chrysanthemum Smelleth Potent, in which Netties are carrier capable and Japan's sub fleet, augumented by the I-3500 series, carry carry camera-equipped Emilys with a range of 73 hexes and armed with five Long-Lance torpedoes.

I have to admit this mod gives Japan alot of goodies, but that's counterbalanced by all the stuff the Allies get. The RN gets three extra Vampire-class DDs disbanded in port at Port Stanely with 97% SYS damage, reflecting my reluctance to equip the Allies so. And the Americans get 200 extra Marauders effective January 1, 1946.

I worked 23 hours today, watched all eight Star Wars flicks with my boys, and cooked a rotisserie marmot that I shot yesterday.

Sub scores so far:

I-1: two xAKL, six DD, three AO; one CV.
I-52: six xAK, one CA, two BB.
I-3,517: Queen Elizabeth
I-3,518: leveled San Francisco with the enhanced Nebelwerfer rocket cannon devices available but only if the Japanese player triggers the upgrade, which takes a level two port and four days.
