Attn: LN59- issue with CB1 - Typhoon over Tula

Post by UP844 »

Today, I played the scenario with both sides: with the Germans, I was pleased to see that a 85mm AA gun I discovered did not fire on my Pz II, but I thought it was a classic case of pacifist AI. The crew, however, fired its inherent FP - with negligible effect - on the German infantry.

Then I played the Russians and, when a Pz II showed into my sights I attempted to fire... and then saw a window stating this gun cannot fire from a building [:(] (If I remember correctly, only AT guns up to 75mm can fire from buildings). I managed to kill the German AFVs anyway using Molotov projectors, ATR fire and the good old reliable CC attack [:D], however I think making this gun functional might make the scenario more challenging for a human German player.

I suppose turning the wooden building into a wooden rubble should do the trick.

Hi UP844!

Thank You very much for pointing the mistake I have done when deploying Ordnance into a building.
In fact, it seems You played the oldest version of 'Typhoon over Tula' (CB1 - Typhoon...).
It was my own fault: having uploaded the ZIP file before enough playtestings!
So, there was a newer version (CB001 - Typhoon... [GE] & [RU]) where Wooden (or Stone?) Rubble is actually converted into 'Debris'.
I'm sorry, for I don't remember if trying to use 'Rubble' (a kind of overlay I guess) instead of 'Building' could help in solving that issue...
The new ZIP file is normally findable on the first page of the Scenarii's thread (Thanks to Paullus for updating).
More easily for You, it is also attached below this post.

Friendly Regards,
Lilian

Post Scriptum - There is also an issue in 'CB002 - Thunder over Boislonde [BR]' when playing with TotH version 1.1.09 (last Update on July 5, 2018).
Downloadable file not fixed yet (July 27th) but it is enough to remove the 3rd British Leader & Radio (OBA) in the order of battle when using the Editor
(i.e. the strict rule of 2 OBA maximum per side does really apply now).
I hope to review my scenarii as soon as possible. My apologies for the delay in responding to You! [;)]

Ooops, I missed the revised versions of CB001 [8|], so I raised an issue that has already been solved [:(]. Thanks for attaching the updated versions here!

I will make this scenario the subject of my next AAR to apologise.

P.S. I liked very much the PDF with the history of the real battle! [&o][&o][&o]
