Today I got the rather large Win 10 update and I no longer have a memory bleed problem with the game!

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

I am glad you Windows 10 users are finding solutions, I will have to buy a new computer in the next 10 years of so and I will not be able to get Windows 7 with it.

Keep your windows 7 stuff and use a Virtual Machine . . .

I was worried about having to get Windows 10, but the only problems are backwards compatibility with very old games. It even works better than W7 for alt-tabbing out of AE for writing my notes {personal AAR}. W7 used to always have the Desktop as an application to alt tab through.

Use a Virtual Machine, DOS-Box, and/or get some up to date versions of the old games. I can play Civ III, Masters of Orion II, Colonization, and Panzer General II on my Windows 10 machine.

After reading your comment here and in the Tech Support area, I removed the "-w" switch from the game icon and just as you said...that newest win10 update cured the screen-bleed issues entirely onmy machine!!!

Thank you very much.[&o]

This new update messed up my Alt-Tab. Put in a 5 second delay or something. So it was taking forever to alt-tab to my personal AAR file to write the results of a combat and alt-tab back. I looked it up and there was a settings switch I could turn off and go back to the way it was.
