Possible Dell WITW/E Issue??

Post by Dereck »

Okay I have been having a problem with my laptop and I think it may be some problem between my laptop and WITW and WITE.

This is the problem I have: Almost regularly once a month my laptop which is always plugged in will burp or something and go OFF the plugged in power cord and onto the battery. There are hoops I have to pump through where I have to uninstall the "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" while I have my battery out of the laptop and then put it back in and restart.

Here are the dates I had to reset my battery and uninstall the Microsoft driver:

Anyways I thought it was the computer (it's a Dell Alienware) but I've been off from playing any games from between February and around June. During that time I was on my laptop most every day but working on my photography to relaxe. Not once during the time when I didn't play a game did I have this problem. But when I started playing again in June this problem started happening again. Now I'm NOT going to stop playing these games but what could be causing this problem with this laptop when I play these games? Is there something in the Dell I need to disable or remove that interferres with WITE or WITW?

Has anybody else experienced anything like this? Like I mentioned, I'm not going to stop playing WITW or WITE but if I could get this Dell to stop doing this every month I'd love it.
