Excaliber 155mm doesn't damage inf/mech

I have a scen with a lot of ground units. One side has a lot of inf/mech/armor, the other a lot of artillery. Some of which are Paladin 155mm with the GPS guided Excaliber shell.

I can't get the Excaliber shell to do any damage to a mobile unit. It can destroy a building no problem, but an Inf platoon just soaks it up and never gets any damage. The regular artillery shells work as expected.
The Excaliber shell says it is good against mobile targets.

By the way, the database you're using is outdated. Have you updated to the newest version?

huh. I thought I was on the latest db or next to latest. Did you update it? to what version? Think I did that with 998.9 I'll try it with 998.10.

I tested the scenario on 998.10 with both databases 473 and 475.

Tried it again, still didn't work, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, made a new example, and at first I swear it didn't work, then I went and enabled 'Detailed gun fire control' and it started working. Loaded my original example and it worked straight off.

Thanks for trying it and showing me that it should work. Screenshot was very helpful to see what the log said.
