Brian Kellys Desert War: 1940-42 captures the drama of the campaign for North Africa during World War II.

Hex scale etc etc

Lots of talk about what scale to go for in future games. How about scrap hexes? Do it the Command Ops way? Which is my favorite by far.

We have the WEGO mechanic which will work great with less abstract hex maps.

I'm a hex guy meself. I do have the original Panther Games versions (Red Devils, Highway to the Reich, Conquest of the Aegean, and Battles from The Bulge). For those interested in checking out Lock n' Load's "Command Ops 2", the core engine is a FREE download. For an in-depth treatment of several battles from The War in North Africa using Command Ops 2, check out The Cauldron module. You can find it all here:

It's a great simulation.
